If you're traveling outside the Hoosier Motor Club service area in the U.S or Canada, you'll receive the same service that clubs in those areas extend to their members. AAA is also affiliated with automobile/touring clubs around the world through four international motoring organizations.
Members of those groups agree to extend services to visiting members of foreign clubs and AAA does the same for their members in the United States. Please contact your local AAA office for more information.

AAA Insurance is a collection of AAA-branded insurance products, services and programs made available to qualified individuals living within the Hoosier Motor Club territory. Personal lines insurance is underwritten by the CSAA Insurance Group and AAA Life Insurance Company. HMC Insurance Agency Inc. acts as an insurance agent for these and other highly-rated insurers.
Insurance Benefits through Your Membership
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
As part of membership in AAA Hoosier Motor Club, members are provided Personal Accident Insurance at no cost. Members are covered when injured in a travel-related accident.
Schedule of Benefits
l. For a hospital room, the amount of fifteen ($15) per day during an uninterrupted confinement not exceeding one hundred days.
2. For miscellaneous hospital expenses:

Wheel Chair rental $15
3. Death and Dismemberment-for each full year the insurance remains in continuous force 10 percent will be added to the PAI death and dismemberment benefit until the maximum amount of 50 percent has been added to the original sum. Please refer to your policy for details.
$500 Medical Expense
Members can extend the benefits of PAI by adding the $500 medical expense rider. This rider covers medical costs up to $500 and pays in addition to any other form of insurance. This endorsement may be purchased for only $4.50 annually.
Member's Accident Security Plan (MASP)
This coverage is designed specifically for accident situations. MASP provides the benefit most needed when the unexpected happens - CASH. This policy can be purchased for just $39.00 per person annually.
Non-Travel Accidents
Non-travel accidents include falling downstairs, slipping in the bathtub, drowning, a gun-related injury or death, injury or death resulting from recreational sports such as, skiing, snowmobiling, jogging, basketball, fishing and many other activities.
Hospital Benefit - $50 per day
Accidental Death Benefit - $5,000
Travel Accidents
You will be paid benefits for all covered accidents that are bodily injury received while traveling as a fare-paying passenger in or on a common carrier, including charter flights with room for at least 15 people; driving or riding in a private automobile, motorized camper, car or truck; being struck as a pedestrian by any licensed vehicle on a public road; or riding a bicycle.
Hospital Benefit - $100
Accidental Death Benefit - $10,000
Accidental death benefits begin at $10,000 and increase by $1,000 each year for the first 5 years, to a maximum of $15,000.

Membership Information
About Your Membership
Your AAA card is issued for your personal use and entitles you to service at any AAA office in the U.S. and Canada. Most services are also available by calling toll free 1-800-722-2616, at your local AAA office or online at AAA.com. Your card is your key to emergency road service - whether you're a driver or passenger in any eligible vehicle.
AAA services are for members only. The AAA membership card covers the individual named on the card. AAA Hoosier Motor Club provides four types of membership.
Membership Options ...
Primary Membership
The first membership in a household is called the primary member. Emergency Road Service is available for any vehicle the member is driving or riding in, except those that are hired such as taxis and limousines. Basic membership begins the day dues are paid and is renewed annually.
Associate Membership
Associate memberships are available at a reduced rate to individuals living in the primary member's household. Each associate membership provides the same privileges, benefits and services of a primary membership. Separate membership cards are issued to associates.
Basic
With the entry-level membership, Basic members receive standard benefits such as Emergency Road Service, AAA maps and TourBook® guides, insurance coverage, AAA Travel services, member discounts and much more. Eligible vehicles include passenger cars, trucks, SUVs and vans.
Plus
Any current primary member is eligible for Plus, an optional, expanded benefit package that increases Basic membership coverage for an additional charge. Benefits include extended towing distance, increased locksmith service, extended extricating/winching service, increased trip interruption protection, increased legal reimbursement protection, and increased travel accident insurance.
Plus RV
Plus RV is an optional benefit for Plus members which extends Plus coverage to the member's recreational vehicle or motorcycle. An RV is considered to be a motor home, truck with camper, travel trailer or camping trailer. RV coverage is an expansion of Plus benefits. Members not currently carrying Plus must purchase this in addition to Plus RV.
Premier
Current primary members are eligible for Plus Premier, which is an optional, ultimate expanded benefits package that increases the Basic and Plus membership coverage for an additional charge. Premier members are eligible for greatly expanded benefits including a free tow of up to 200 miles per membership household, exclusive offerings such as trip interruption reimbursement up to $1,500, a one-day complimentary rental car benefit per year with an allowable tow as well as home lockout service, increased legal reimbursement protection and much more.
Please be aware that each individual membership, Basic, Plus, Plus RV and Premier, has a maximum of 4 Emergency Road Service (ERS) usage calls per membership year. Additional calls will require payment at the time of service.
When is Plus, Plus RV and Premier Effective?
If Plus, Plus RV and Plus Premier service is added to a membership or purchased with a new membership, there will be a 72 hour waiting period before PLUS services are provided (Basic service is still available immediately).

Gift Membership
Celebrate the special people in your life with a gift that shows you care. AAA memberships make excellent gifts for the holidays, birthdays, graduations, weddings and more! Long after the occasion is over; the recipient will continue to enjoy AAA's 24-hour emergency road service, complete travel services, exclusive member discounts and more! Gift memberships will be mailed automatically to the recipient unless otherwise specified by the donor.
Conditions of Membership
AAA Hoosier Motor Club offers a large variety of membership benefits which provide savings, advantages, and protection-truly a bargain-for modest annual dues. The Club provides maximum service through a centralized service structure and the pooling of member dues. To provide service equity and maximum return, the Club has reasonable limitations and regulations set forth by the officers and directors of AAA. The Club reserves the right to make changes in benefits at any time without notice.
Service may be limited and/or subject to membership cancellation or non-renewal under the conditions of abusive or confrontational situations. These situations include but are not limited to; safety risks, acts of aggression, demonstration of weapons, intent to do bodily injury, intimidation, verbal abuse or discriminatory practice. Such actions will not be tolerated and AAA Hoosier Motor Club reserves the right to reasonably choose with whom it will do business. General Membership Restrictions*

Scope of Service ...
Emergency Road Service
Emergency Road Service (ERS) is one of AAA Hoosier Motor Club's most valuable services. Roadside assistance is provided by a network of more than 43,000 service vehicles available to assist you 24 hours a day in the U.S. and Canada.
Special Note to Our Members
These ERS guidelines are designed to give the best possible service to the greatest number of members in the fairest and safest manner possible.
To avoid misunderstandings, we urge you to familiarize yourself with the benefits and any limitations which might apply to a particular service you request. Please keep a copy of these policies in the glove compartment of each vehicle driven by a member. Additional copies are available at your local AAA service center or on line at AAA.com.
Purpose of Service
Emergency Road Service is designed to aid any member whose vehicle has become unexpectedly disabled and cannot be safely driven under its own power. It is an emergency service only-not a substitute for proper maintenance and repair. The proper care and maintenance of a given vehicle is the individual responsibility of each member. Our intent is to provide service with the safest appropriate equipment.
Each membership has an allotment of four emergency road service calls. In the case of a family with multiple AAA members, the family as a whole shall be entitled to a total of four (4) emergency road service calls per member, per year. Each membership year renewal reestablishes the allowance. In addition to the above criteria, if any family member incurs twelve (12) or more emergency road service calls over a three (3) year period, Hoosier Motor Club reserves the right not to renew that individual's membership or the memberships of that individual's family.
In the event you require more than four Emergency Road Service calls in a membership year, you will be required to pay for service at the time each additional call is rendered at the responding contractors' prevailing rate.
Member Safety
Our foremost concern is safety to our members and service personnel. There may be a request for service that cannot be honored due to potential hazards. Service is provided only if a vehicle can be reached safely and will not be provided until a vehicle is made accessible. Shoveling away snow or removing a vehicle from mud are examples. Some vehicles may be unreachable or inaccessible due to unplowed/icy streets or their location on back roads or driveways.
Covered Vehicles Under Basic, Plus & Premier:
- Four-wheeled motor driven vehicles of the passenger, pleasure, or recreational type (vans), regardless of license plate designation, if those services can be safely delivered;
Dual-wheel campers/motor homes will be provided all services except towing, extrication/ recovery, and tire service.
- Rented passenger vehicles are eligible for service. Commercial passenger vehicles are eligible for service with the exclusion of taxi cabs and limousines.
- Please Note: The AAA membership is designed for emergency road service situations and not as a convenience or for repair price comparison.
Vehicles Covered Under PLUS RV
- Recreational vehicle, motorcycle, and large dual wheel pickup. Rented passenger vehicles are eligible for service. Commercial passenger vehicles are eligible for service with the exclusion of taxi cabs and limousines.
- Motor homes and campers are defined as manufactured, motor driven vehicles equipped with living accommodations, regardless of curb weight rating, used for noncommercial recreational purposes.(Semi-truck cabs are excluded.)
- Travel trailers are defined as noncommercial trailers equipped with living accommodations. (Includes pop up trailers.)
- Motorcycles are defined as two or three-wheel motor-driven vehicles, legally licensed for normal roadway use.
Please Note: Boat, horse, livestock, utility/automobile trailers and box trucks are excluded.
Available Benefits
Emergency Road Service personnel are trained professionals who are skilled in providing assistance for members in need of roadside aid. They are not mechanics. Emergency Road Service does not include repair expenses or guarantee that facilities are available for mechanical repair. HMC will assist the member in finding the nearest Approved Auto Repair facility or Approved Body Shop. If repairs are not accessible, Club personnel are available to assist the member in locating lodging and/or alternative transportation if needed. Your AAA membership does not include costs incurred due to mechanical breakdown.
- Emergency Mechanical First Aid - Minor adjustments, not requiring parts, will be made in an effort to enable the vehicle to operate under its own power.
- Battery Service - The car will be jump-started/batteryboosted. If the vehicle cannot be started, towing service will be provided.
AAA sells and installs quality batteries with a 3-year replacement guarantee upon your request and will perform this service at your location of breakdown. Payment for this mobile service MUST be made at the time of service (this service is available in most areas of the U.S. and Canada).
- Flat Tire Service - The members' mounted spare will be installed. If the spare is flat, missing or the original tire cannot be removed, the vehicle will be towed. Important Notice ... After installation of a spare tire, you must have the wheel fasteners (lugs, studs or nuts) professionally retorqued (retightened) after 30 miles of driving. Placing a spare tire on the vehicle is only an emergency and temporary repair.
- Gasoline Delivery Service - An emergency supply of gasoline will be delivered to the disabled vehicle; enough that will enable the vehicle to return to the nearest fuel supply source. The member will pay for gasoline at current pump prices of the station rendering service. When fuel is not available, the car will be towed. (Note: Due to additional services needed, diesel powered vehicles will be towed.)
Plus, Plus RV & Premier: Extends your basic coverage to include delivery of a limited supply of gasoline, at no cost, to the scene of disablement that will enable the vehicle to reach the nearest fuel supply source.
- Lock and Key Service - Lock and key services will be attempted to safely render the eligible vehicle drivable. In some cases, we are unable to make ignition keys due to various circumstances that are outside of our control.
If the key that operates or provides access to the passenger compartment of the vehicle is lost, broken,or the service provider cannot gain entry, the Club shall provide locksmith service up to $50, or reimbursement of commercial locksmith service up to $50. If necessary, the Club also will provide tow service (in accordance with the Club's towing provision).
Plus & Plus RV: extends your basic coverage to provide for reimbursement up to $100 in parts and labor for locksmith services to vehicles that have become disabled.
Premier: extends Plus coverage to provide for reimbursement up to $150 in parts and labor for locksmith services to vehicles that have become disabled.
Home Lockout
Premier: If you become locked out of your residence, you can receive locksmith services to gain access to your home. Home lockout service is reserved for a Premier member's primary residence only and excludes all other buildings or locked areas. The service provides up to $100 for the cost of re-keying, changing locks or making a new key only when the lock must be drilled to gain entry to the home or if keys are lost or stolen. Any charges in excess of $100, as well as all charges associated with any other residential locksmith services, are at the expense of the Premier member.
Home lockout service is limited to one usage per Plus Premier member, per membership year. Home lockout service is not transferable to any other person. The Premier member must be present at the time of service. Identification and proof of residence is required. In the case of rental property, approval of the property owner may be required. Service is subject to provider availability, and if AAA Hoosier Motor Club cannot provide service, the member will be referred to a commercial locksmith and will be reimbursed for covered service up to $100. Locksmith arrival time is based upon locksmith availability.
Towing Service - AAA will provide one tow per disablement. If the member requests to have the vehicle towed, AAA will provide for the first three (3) miles. Additional mileage is to be paid by the member at the time of service. Tows back to the responding service providers' facility for repairs are at no charge. AAA cannot guarantee the immediate availability of flatbed equipment or that facilities are available for mechanical repair. AAA cannot be responsible for taxi service as there are other members also waiting for service. If the requested tow is a result of an accident, all police reports must be completed before towing. If any special equipment, more than one truck or more than one person is required, the associated cost may be at the member's expense. (Expenses to the member for an additional truck or service representative will be at the rate of $10 per quarter hour after the first 30 minutes on scene.)
Long-distance tows may require preparation and scheduling. AAA's intent is to provide service with the safest and most appropriate equipment. Prior to an existing breakdown, members MUST have purchased PLUS coverage 72 hours in advance in order to receive up to 100 miles of towing. Premier members must have purchased coverage 72 hours in advance in order to receive up to one (1) 200-mile tow per household.
Plus: extends your basic coverage to include free towing up to 100 miles to the destination of the member's choice from the point of disablement.
Plus RV: extends coverage to a motor home, travel trailer, camper trailer, motorcycle and truck with camper that is manufactured for that purpose. Reimbursement per occurrence is at commercial rates for covered service when a AAA ERS RV contractor is not available.
Premier: extends Premier coverage to include one free tow up to 200 miles, per household per membership year to the destination of the member's choice from the point of disablement.
Emergency Breakdown Hertz Car Rental Discount -Premier members whose vehicles are inoperable after receiving towing service from AAA for noncollision related events in the United States or Canada, are eligible* through Hertz, AAA's preferred rental car provider, for one free rental day at participating Hertz locations per household per membership year. Standard rental qualifications apply.
Service must be arranged through AAA. The Premier member is responsible for subsequent days' rental charges, upgrades, vehicle insurance, mileage and fuel charges, and any other charges, fees and taxes which may apply, and are not subject to discount. The car must be returned to rental pick-up location.
How to use: When you call us for roadside assistance, please inform AAA that you would like a Hertz rental car while your vehicle is being repaired. If you're unsure if you'll require a replacement vehicle, you may call AAA within 48 hours of your initial roadside assistance call to request your Hertz car rental.
Extrication Service - A members' vehicle that has accidentally veered from a regularly-traveled road or driveway and can be safely reached with equipment normally available from the nearest AAA facility will be extricated. AAA will provide one service truck and one service person at the scene. If special equipment, more than one truck or more than one person is required, the associated cost may be at the members' expense. Expenses to the member for an additional truck/service representative will be at the rate of $10 per quarter hour after the first 30 minutes on scene.
Plus, Plus RV & Premier: extends your basic coverage to provide, if necessary, a second service vehicle and personnel for one hour at the scene.
Emergency Repair Check Acceptance - Cash and credit/debit cards are accepted as payment for emergency repairs and service by ERS contract facilities. If members find themselves without sufficient cash or credit/ debit cards, personal checks are accepted for the exact amount of the invoice up to$250. A valid and current membership card must be presented in addition to other photo identification required by the facility.
This program covers only emergency repairs and service necessary to put a member's vehicle in safe operating condition. Included are Emergency Road Service, mechanical repairs, and/ or necessary parts.
This service is only available from emergency road service facilities.
Please Note: Emergency Check Acceptance is not valid for the following: normal maintenance, such as oil change and lubrication or nonessential repairs that can be performed near the member's residence. AAA Hoosier Motor Club guarantees the member's check to the ERS facility. If the check is not honored by the bank on which it is drawn, AAA Hoosier Motor Club will reimburse the ERS facility and will collect all accrued charges from the member. If the member fails to make such a loss good, collection procedures will be instituted and membership will be subject to cancellation.
Premier: extends Emergency Repair Check Acceptance benefit for the exact amount of the invoice up to $250 for emergency repairs and service by ERS contract facilities.
How to Request Emergency Road Service
AAA provides these toll-free numbers to assist members with Emergency Road Service (ERS) and Club information 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For easy reference, the following numbers are provided:

Road Service Online Registered members may utilize Road Service Online as a convenient option to request road service via the Internet at AAA.com.
Emergency Road Service is one of AAA Hoosier Motor Club's most valuable services. More than 43,000 ERS contractors are available to assist you 24 hours a day in the U.S. and Canada.

Reimbursement Policy
In those rare instances where AAA service is not available, Hoosier Motor Club will consider reimbursement at prevailing commercial rates for covered services. When AAA service is available, but not used, reimbursement will be provided in the amount the contract facility would have charged AAA. Reimbursement is not provided when a noncovered service is requested or for taxi fares, telephone, cellular phone usage, rental vehicles, storage fees, lodging, etc.
All reimbursement requests are to be accompanied by the original receipt and a brief description of why a service provider other than AAA was used. Reimbursement requests must be submitted in writing within 60 days to: AAA Hoosier Motor Club, ERS Refund Department, P.O. Box 88505, Indianapolis, IN 46208-0505.
Additional Limitations and Exclusions
Services not provided:
- Any vehicle under legal restraints and/or for infractions of legal ordinances. AAA Hoosier Motor Club is not responsible for any expenses incurred. It is necessary for the vehicle to be removed from the impound lot prior to AAA service being rendered.
- Service when street or weather conditions do not allow safe movement.
- Shoveling a vehicle out of snow or mud.
- Reaching a vehicle on inaccessible, unplowed/icy streets, back roads or driveways.
- Repairs, diagnosis, battery charging, tire repair, parts or delivery of parts, which may require additional payment.
- Routine maintenance and repair.
- Service to vehicles that cannot be safely towed with standard operating equipment.
- Vehicles that have been altered from the original manufacturer's design.
- Service to: taxis and limousines.
- Services are not transferable between primary and associates on the membership.
- Towing shall be provided for light-duty trailers, excluding fifth wheel trailers, being towed at the time of disablement. At the Club's discretion, members may be required to pay for towing the trailer.
- Fuel delivery at a gas station is not provided unless mechanical issues prevent delivery.
AAA Approved Auto Repair and AAA Approved Auto Body Shops
Automotive
Find a mechanic you can trust through AAA's network of approved auto repair facilities that have met and maintained AAA's tough performance standards while providing reliable and courteous service. AAA has an agreement with each approved facility that guarantees the quality and reliability of the repairs. Included in this guarantee are:
- The quality and reliability of repairs
- Warranty of repairs for a minimum of 24 months or 24,000 miles unless otherwise noted on repair order ticket
- Certified technicians with up-to-date equipment
- All replaced parts will be available for inspection
- Agreement to resolve complaints by an experienced and neutral AAA representative

AAA Approved Auto Repair Discounts and Coupons

Auto Trip Interruption
If you are involved in a collision while driving or riding in an eligible vehicle, which disables your vehicle and you are 50 miles or more from home at the time, AAA will reimburse you up to $600 for certain expenses. These include:
- Local meals and lodging while your vehicle is being repaired (in general vicinity of the repair shop) OR
- Car rental (from a licensed rental agency) to continue to your destination or return home (reimbursement not provided for car rental at your destination or home or commercial rental vehicle) OR
- Scheduled commercial transportation to your destination or return home (airplane, bus, train).
- This benefit applies to collisions occurring anywhere in the United States, Canada or Mexico, for expenses listed above incurred during 72 hours following a collision. This benefit is intended to cover emergency expenses while en route to your destination or home. It does not cover meals, lodging, car rental at your destination or roundtrip car rental.
- The maximum reimbursement is $600 per accident, per member. Members are covered while riding or driving in any passenger vehicle at the time of collision.
• Trip Interruption claim forms are available from Hoosier Motor Club service centers. To file for reimbursement, you must submit the following items to the address below within 90 days following the collision:
- A copy of the official police report or statement from the law enforcement body that recorded the accident (or insurance claim report if no police report is available).
- Itemized receipts for car repair expenses; or if vehicle was totaled, a statement from the insurance company stating vehicle was a loss.
- Itemized original receipts for the expenses to be reimbursed.

Passport Photo Service
No appointment is necessary, the photo is instant, and members get a discounted price. This service is available during normal business hours at all service centers. Photos may be used for passports, visas, or international driving permits.

Fax/Copier Service
Each service center is equipped with a fax machine and a copier. Member services counselors can assist in sending and receiving faxes within the continental United States and making copies. Legal Services
Legal Reimbursement
It's a fact of life that thousands of auto accidents and arrests occur each day. Without warning, you may find yourself involved in a situation requiring legal assistance
To help members when such a situation arises, AAA Hoosier Motor Club pays for certain legal protection when members are charged with moving violations of the motor vehicle laws. (See exceptions below.)
AAA does not practice law. You retain your own attorney and submit the receipted bill to the Club for reimbursement, preserving the confidential relationship between attorney and client. Legal reimbursement must be applied for within thirty (30) days of court date. Reimbursement will be allowed for two offenses per calendar year. AAA reimburses you for legal fees, including appeals to a higher court, when necessary, if you personally appear in court with your attorney and plead not guilty.

Cases involving the following offenses are not reimbursable:
Driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquors or narcotic drugs
Driving with a suspended or revoked operator's or chauffeur's license
Traffic violations arising from the commission or the attempt to commit a felony
Leaving the scene of an accident Violations while driving a bus, taxicab or operating a truck which has over a one-ton rated capacity
Using a motor vehicle improperly registered; where at the time of the violation permission to drive the automobile was not granted by the owner
Or, any traffic law violation coupled with any nonreimbursable violation.
Excluded for reimbursement are witness fees, plans, maps, court costs, fines or other similar costs which may come up in connection with your defense.

Plus & Plus RV: provides defense of vehicle-related charges to which you must appear in court and plead not guilty, and covers any Plus member who is driving a vehicle eligible for service under the basic membership at the time such charges are incurred. Charges covered under this benefit are:
- Vehicle manslaughter or negligent homicide ($500 maximum protection).
- Reckless driving or endangerment {$200 maximum protection).
- Moving violations covered by traffic ordinances ($100 maximum protection).
Premier: extends benefit for charges covered:
- Vehicle manslaughter or negligent homicide ($1,000 maximum protection).
- Reckless driving or endangerment ($400 maximum protection).
- Moving violations covered by traffic ordinances {$200 maximum protection).
Please Note: Legal Reimbursement protection does not apply to violations involving driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or driving on a suspended or revoked license/registration. All claims must be submitted within 90 days of the collision.
Theft Reward
As a deterrent to theft and vandalism, a member's car is protected by a warning stating that AAA offers a $500* reward for information leading directly to the arrest and conviction of anyone stealing a member's car. A reward of $100* is also available for information leading directly to the arrest and conviction of anyone causing hit-and-run, damage or vandalizing a member's car. Also, members with CD players, GPS or cell phones installed in their cars are covered under the $100* Theft Reward. Law enforcement officers engaged in the normal performance of duty, the member, and family members cannot be so rewarded, nor can anyone who simply reports a member's car stolen.

Notary Service
For your convenience, all AAA Hoosier Motor Club service centers provide free notary service. You'll find this service a real timesaver in matters requiring notarization of official papers. Documents to be notarized must be signed in the presence of the Notary Public; therefore the service cannot be handled through the mail. When you need the services of a Notary Public for documents, just stop in at any AAA Hoosier Motor Club service center.

Civic and Traffic Safety
Throughout its history, AAA has worked to make roadways safer for the driving public through:

- Safety programs for everyone from preschool to senior citizens

- Annual School Traffic Safety Poster contests
