President's Message

When most people think of AAA, what immediately comes to mind is our roadside assistance. While we take great pride in our 24/7 Roadside Assistance, it can be easy to forget that your membership has more benefits than just getting a tow or replacing a dead car battery. We are constantly working to elevate member value and provide as many benefits to our members as we can. We partner with dozens of local and national companies to provide you with exclusive discounts and programs that you may not even know are available to you. With that in mind, I am going to highlight a few lesser-known perks that I think could be especially useful to our members in 2024. We offer many of these features in our app, which can be downloaded for free. These products and services are also available through AAA.com.  

1. Identity Theft Protection - With so much of our information being posted online, it has never been more important to protect your privacy. However, no matter how much you try to keep up with the current technology, there’s always some new scam just around the corner. This is why we have partnered with Experian in the ProtectMyID program to help our members keep their data safe. This program provides you with credit monitoring, Lost Wallet Protection, fraud resolution support and other features to help secure your information and finances online. Best of all, the Essential plan is 100% free for our members. I would highly recommend you check this out. It’s a great resource that can save you from a big headache.  

2. Oil Changes - Sometimes, the wait lines to get your car serviced in the dealership make you feel like you should have packed a sleeping bag. A few years ago, we decided to expand our tire services and began a partnership with Jiffy Lube. The focus was always to make tire changes and other automobile services as convenient and simple as possible for our members. There are several discounts our members get from Jiffy Lube - but one of the especially popular benefits is that every Thursday, AAA members get a $25-dollar discount on Signature Service ® Oil Change!  

3. Gas - During times like these, a receipt from a gas station pump can feel more like a condolence letter rather than a proof of payment. As gas prices continue to go up, we hope that we can offer our members some relief through our partnership with Shell. By utilizing Shell Rewards, AAA members can enjoy exclusive savings, including complimentary Gold Status and a 30¢/gal discount on your first fill-up when joining the Fuel Rewards® program. Subsequently, members can continue to save 5¢/gal on each fill-up, up to 20 gallons.

4. Moving - The process of moving can be quite an ordeal. I understand how stressful and expensive it can be, so I wanted to remind our members that they can receive exclusive discounts with Atlas Van Lines. When you move with Atlas through AAA, you can save an average of $840 on state-to-state moves. Plus, there are additional discounts available for in-state and international relocations, as well as storage options. 5. Tickets - This year, we have heavily prioritized providing more entertainment discounts for our members. We are now the official Insurance partner of the Indianapolis Indians! This will allow our members to get ten percent off merchandise in the Indians gift shop and there will also be nights where tickets are half-priced for our members. To learn more, visit AAA.com/Indians. We also have special offerings at the Ruoff Music Center this summer. Members will get early access to buy tickets to concerts, they will have a fast pass to get through lines quicker and we will have a VIP lounge with drinks and snacks exclusively for our members. I would also encourage members to visit AAA.com/Discounts. You can save money on movie tickets, zoos, museums and tons of other fun events happening around Indiana! Our members mean the world to us, and we hope these features help showcase that.
