The Strength of AAA

President's Message
Kirk Hendrix

There IS strength in numbers... and in personalized service.

AAA Hoosier Motor Club is part of the larger American Automobile Association (AAA) which has grown to nearly 60 million members across North America.  Interest in AAA and its services continues to grow in popularity, and, for good reason.

The strength of this 100+-year-old institution is partly what gives our members the peace of mind they often refer to when citing the value of being a AAA member.  AAA's magnitude and expertise, coupled with the continual investment and innovative solutions, is what allows us to deliver world-class member service and value.

When it comes to roadside service, did you know that AAA is trusted to provide two-thirds of all roadside services nationwide? That amounts to more than 33 million service calls annually.  Too, roadside service need is growing across America.  AAA is servicing record numbers of members.  ANd there are several reasons for this.  For starters, America has an aging fleet. Today, the average age care on the road is about 12 years old.  Often, the older the car, the more need for service.  But it's not just that. Even people with new cars struggle with knowing how to diagnose, let alone solve the problem.  Today's technological advancements and complexities make it bewildering to most. Car batteries are difficult to locate, let alone service. And spare tires, some cars don't have them. We also live in an era where we find America's roads and infrastructure suffering. From aging bridges to potholes, our very roads are causing more car issues and road service requests than ever before.

Another great member benefit and one of the very things that differentiate AAA from a random towing company is our ability to actually solve the problem roadside and get you back on the go--without a tow -- and in quick order.  For example, so far this year, our own top-notch trained Hoosier Motor Club technicians were able to solve members' problems actually at the roadside more than half of the time, eliminating the need for a tow and saving our members time, money and the aggravation of being without their vehicle.

In addition, we have invested in new technology which allows us to get to you quicker. It's called Predictive Fleet. This is a technology solution which utilizes historical data, live-call data, weather, and traffic information to forecast the service type (which type of truck) and location of emergency road service rescues we would expect to see within an upcoming three-hour period.  We position our trucks and drivers in anticipation. And we arrive a the scene sooner.

Yet, in those instances where our members need additional support such as a mechanic, Hoosier Motor Club's Approved Auto Repair (AAR) and Approved Auto Body (AAB) facilities standby to help. Our network features only those shops that pass our intensive review process which includes comprehensive annual inspections and quarterly visits. From oil changes to complex repairs, Hoosier Motor Club members can trust a roster of more than 100 approved facilities for honest, high-quality service through Indiana. And in the rare instances when a problem does occur with an AAR or an AAB service, you can count on us to step in on your behalf to resolve the issue.

Strength in numbers, investment, innovation, and offerings. That's value. That's AAA.
