- West Edmonton Mall - touted as the largest shopping and entertainment complex in North America, it's a great place to take the family. In addition to a large selection of stores and restaurants, you'll also find an amusement park, ice rink, shooting range, water park and aquarium.
- Muttart Conservatory - Readable by smartphones, matrix barcodes posted in four futuristic pyramid-shaped greenhouses put descriptions of walking tours and changing exhibitions in the palm of your hand. Low-tech printed tour brochures also are available, as are weekend guided tours.
