Down a Dark Desert Highway 

Make your maiden voyage to Plainfield’s brand-new performing arts center, Hendricks Live! on June 1 to hear this Southern California band play the iconic music of The Eagles in Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles. This premier Eagles tribute band has toured the U.S. for over 20 years performing the game-changing catalog that made The Eagles so beloved.

Talbot Street Art Fair 

Over 200 national artists convene for Indy’s popular Talbot Street Art Fair on Saturday, June 15, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, June 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family-friendly event in the historic Herron Morton Neighborhood is the oldest juried art fair in Central Indiana. It’s open to the public at no charge. Bring your kids and grandkids to the children's activity area, where they can participate in Spin-a-Pot Pottery, face painting and a community art project.

Juneteenth Jubilee at Conner Prairie 

Celebrate African American achievements, culture and freedom at Conner Prairie on June 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Now in its fifth year, Juneteenth Jubilee highlights black-owned businesses, culinary experts, community resources, and visual and performing artists. Juneteenth Jubilee is organized and created by students from Fishers High School’s Future Black Leaders Club. The event is open to the public and includes live music, food and a Kid’s Zone with face painting, balloon animals, games and more.

Ethos Celebration of the Arts in Franklin 

Visit Franklin’s historic downtown on June 22 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a one-day art extravaganza. The 2024 event includes 80 artists, a beer and wine garden, live music, demonstrations and interactive art activities for all ages. Kickoff the event the night before by attending Canvas Clash, a live competition of artists creating new works in just 20 minutes.

The Best Ribs You’ll Have All Summer 

Go low and slow at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds for Hendricks County Rib-Fest & BBQ on June 29. The menu includes elephant ears, strawberry shortcake sundaes, adult beverages and other summer favorites. The day begins with the Rise & Swine 5K and ends with fireworks and hot air balloons in the evening. Carry blankets and chairs, and spend the day enjoying music, a craft fair hosted by the Plainfield Lions Club and local not-for-profit vendors.
